March 24, 1999.
Take notice that on March 16, 1999, CNG Transmission Corporation (CNG), tendered for filing its report of refunds attributable to the resolution of the captioned proceedings. CNG states that the reported refunds reflect CNG's implementation of the rates contained in the Commission-approved Stipulation and Agreement filedon August 31, 1998 (the August 31 Stipulation).
CNG states that the purpose of this filing is to report refunds and associated interest that CNG ultimately resolved with its customers effective February 18, 1999. CNG further states that these refunds were made as a result of CNG's implementation of the settlement rates approved by Commission order dated November 24, 1998, in Docket Nos. RP97-406-000, et al. 85 FERC 61,261 (1998). As detailed in Attachment A to CNG's transmittal letter, CNG's total refund obligation consisted of a principal amount of $56,664,462.40, plus interest of $2,626,178.82 through February 18, 1999, for a total refund obligation of $59,290,641.22.
CNG states that copies of this letter of transmittal and summary workpapers are being mailed to affected customers and interested state commissions.
Any person desiring to protest said filing should file a protest with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426, in accordance with Section 385.211 of the Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such protests must be filedon or before March 31, 1999. Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to the proceedings. Copies of this filing are on file with the Commission and are available for public inspection in the Public Reference Room.
