Docket No. RP98-140-004Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company; Notice of Compliance Filing

February 17, 1999.

Take notice that on February 11, 1999, Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company (Tennessee), tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas Tariff, Fifth Revised Volume No. 1, First Revised Sheet No. 405D for inclusion in Tennessee's. Tennessee requests an effective date of March 13, 1999.

Tennessee states that the revised tariff sheet is being submitted in compliance with the Commission's ``Order on Rehearing and Clarification'' issued on January 27, 1999 in Docket No. RP98-140-003 (Rehearing Order) and the Commission's Letter Order issued on January 27, 1999 in Docket No. RP98-140-002 (Compliance Order). Tennessee Gas Pipeline company, 86 FERC para. 61,066 (1999). Tennessee further states that this revised tariff sheet contains certain modifications which the Compliance Order and the Rehearing Order, taken in tandem, required Tennessee to make to its tariff provisions authorizing Tennessee to reserve certain types of existing available capacity for future expansion projects.

Any person desiring to protest this filing should file a protest with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, NE., Washington, DC 20426, in accordance with Section 385.211 of the Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such protests must be filedas provided in Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to the proceedings. Copies of this filing are on file with the Commission and are available for public inspection in the Public Reference Room.
