AGENCY: Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), DOT.

ACTION: Notice of public meeting.

SUMMARY: This notice announces a public meeting of the FAA's Aviation Rulemaking Advisory Committee (ARAC) to discuss training and qualification issues.

DATES: The meeting is scheduled for December 14, 1999, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Pursuant to section 10(a)(2) of the Federal Advisory Committee Act (Pub. L. 92-463; 5 USC App II), notice is given of an ARAC meeting to be held December 14, 1999, at the Federal Aviation Administration, 800 Independence Avenue, SW, Washington, DC, Room 813.

The agenda will include a review of the Licensing Harmonization Working Group's report and recommendations. The report and its recommendations are limited to cockpit crew. There will be a vote taken on the report and its recommendations, the result of which will determine if the report and its recommendations should be forwarded to the FAA. Copies of the document to be voted on are available by contacting the person listed under the heading FOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT.

Attendance is open to the public, but will be limited to the space available. The public must make arrangements by December 3, 1999, to present oral statements at the meeting. Written statements may be presented at any time before the meeting by providing 25 copies to the person listed under the heading FOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT. If you are in need of special assistance or require a reasonable accommodation for this meeting, requests should be made no later than 10 calendar days before the meeting.
