[Docket No. RP99-166-000]

Stingray Pipeline Company; Notice of Proposed Changes in FERC Gas Tariff

December 3, 1998.

Take notice that on December 1, 1998, Stingray Pipeline Company (Stingray) tendered for filing proposed changes in its FERC Gas Tariff, Third Revised Volume No. 1, to become effective January 1, 1999.

Stingray states that this filing is a general rate case under Section 4(e) of the Natural Gas Act and is consistent with the terms of Stingray's last rate case settlement at Docket No. RP94-301. The proposed rate changes would increase Stingray's cost of service by approximately $3.5 million from its last rate case. Stingray states that the increase in transportation rates is necessary to permit Stingray the opportunity to recover its revenue requirement.

Stingray requests whatever waivers may be necessary to permit the tariff sheets as submitted herein to become effective January 1, 1999.

Stingray states that copies of the filing are being mailed to Stingray's transportation customers and interested state regulatory agencies.

Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should file a motion to intervene or a protest with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, NE, Washington, DC 20426, in accordance with Sections 385.214 or 385.211 of the Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such motions or protests must be filedin accordance with Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to the proceedings. Any person wishing to become a party must file a motion to intervene. Copies of this filing are on file with the Commission and are available for public inspection in the Public Reference Room. Linwood A. Watson, Jr., Acting Secretary.
