Washington: Final Authorization of State Hazardous Waste Management Program Revision

AGENCY: Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

ACTION: Proposed rule.

SUMMARY: The EPA proposes to approve a revision to Washington's authorized hazardous waste program. In the final rules section of today's Federal Register, EPA is approving the State's request as an immediate final rule without a prior proposal because EPA views this action as noncontroversial and anticipates no adverse comments. A detailed rationale for approving the State's request is set forth in the immediate final rule. If no adverse written comments are received in response to the immediate final rule, no further activity is contemplated in relation to this proposed rule. If EPA receives adverse written comments, EPA will withdraw the immediate final rule before the effective date by publishing a notice of withdrawal in the Federal Register. Any parties interested in commenting on this action should do so at this time.
