Petal Gas Storage Company; Notice of Proposed Changes in FERC Gas Tariff

April 1, 1998.

Take notice that on March 27, 1998, Petal Gas Storage Company (Petal) tendered for filing, as part of its FERC Gas Tariff, First Revised Volume No. 1, a number of revised tariff sheets (Sheet Nos. 3, 4, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 52, 100-103, 112, 115, 115A, 116, 116A, 122, 123, 124, 127 and 129) with proposed effective dates of June 1, 1998.

Petal states that this filing is made in compliance with both the Commission's April 16, 1997 Order in this docket and Order No. 587-C, issued March 4, 1997.

Petal states that these tariff sheets reflect the provisions of those orders regarding the implementation of standards of the Gas Industry Standards Board. They also reflect the correction of several errors present in the pro forma tariff sheets filedearlier in this docket.

Any person desiring to protest this filing should file a protest with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426, in accordance with Section 385.211 of the Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such protests must be filedas provided in Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to the proceedings.
