Notice of Application for Non-Project Use of Project Lands and Waters and Soliciting Comments, Motions To Intervene, and Protests

April 13, 2006.

Take notice that the following application has been filed with the Commission and is available for public inspection:

  1. Application Type: Non-Project Use of Project Lands and Waters.

  2. Project No.: 349-106.

  3. Date filed: March 22, 2006.

  4. Applicant: Alabama Power Company.

  5. Name of Project: Martin Dam Project.

  6. Location: The project is located on the Tallapoosa River in Coosa and Elmore Counties, Alabama.

Description of Application: The licensee requests Commission approval of a permit application, filed by the North Lake Condo Club, to build three uncovered floating boat dock structures providing a total of 42 bays for boats. Each bay will measure approximately 10 feet wide by 23 feet long. There will be no dredging associated with this project.

In determining the appropriate action to take, the Commission will consider all protests or other comments filed, but only those who file a motion to intervene in accordance with the Commission's Rules may become a party to the proceeding. Any comments, protests, or motions to intervene must be received on or before the specified comment date for the particular application.
