Take notice that the following hydroelectric application has been filedwith the commission and is available for public inspection:

  3. Date Filed: August 31, 1999.

  4. Applicant: Green Mountain Power Corporation.

  5. Name of Project: Waterbury Project.

  6. Location: On Little River in Washington County, Vermont. No Federal Lands are used in this project.

    The Commission's rules of practice and procedure require all intervenors filing documents with the commission to serve a copy of that document on each person whose name appears on the official service list for the project. Further, if an intervenor files comments or documents with the Commission relating to the merits of an issue that may affect the responsibilities of a particular resource agency, they must also serve a copy of the document on that resource agency.

  12. Status of Environmental Analysis: This application is not for environmental analysis at this time.

  13. The existing project consists of: (1) 1,845-foot-long, 158-foot- high rolled earth embankment Waterbury Dam; (2) an impounding having a surface area of 1,330 acres, with a storage capacity of 64,700 acre- feet and a normal water surface elevation of 593.00 feet msl; (3) a submerged concrete intake structure; (4) two 205-foot-long, 54-inch- diameter steel penstocks which connects to a 79-inch-diameter penstock; (4) a powerhouse with a generating unit having an installed capacity of 5,520 kW: (5) a tailrace; (9) a four-mile-long, 33-kV transmission line; and (7) appurtenant facilities

    The applicant does not propose any modifications to the project features or operation.

    the project would have an annual generation of 16,223 MWh and would be used to provide energy to its customers.
