Take notice that the following application has been filed with the Commission and is available for public inspection:

  4. Applicant: Alaska Electric Light and Power Company.

  5. Name of Project: Lake Dorothy Project.

  6. Location: The project is located on the Dorothy Creek, near Juneau, Alaska.

  7. Filed Pursuant to: Federal Power Act, 16 U.S.C. 791(a)-825(r).

  11. Description of Request: The licensee is requesting the Commission's approval to excavate a 150-feet long starter tunnel section prior construction of the powerhouse. The licensee proposes to construct the starter tunnel as part of the contract for the Lake Dorothy tap tunnel currently under construction. The purpose of the tunnel is to minimize disturbance or damage to the powerhouse and adjacent facilities from blasting activities associated with the tunnel excavation.

Any comments, protests, or motions to intervene must be received on or before the specified comment date for the particular application.
